How to Apply

Don’t miss the chance to participate in this exciting and rewarding program! All RYLA participants are selected and sponsored by their local Rotary club. RYLA is also unique in that it is one of the rare Rotary programs that includes current Rotarians and their families. Do you have a young Rotarian in your club? Consider them as a participant!

FAQ

Q: Can Rotarians/Rotaractors and family members attend?

A: Yes! RYLA is unique in that it is open to anyone between the ages of 19 to 28, including Rotarians and their family members.

Q: Are visitors allowed at RYLA?

A: On Wednesday July 12th, we allow current Rotarians to visit the program. They will be given the choice of attending the 9am-noon AM session or the 2pm-6pm PM visitation session where they can attend and observe the program. Rotarian guest will be asked to only observe during their time as to not disrupt the participant’s experience. To register, contact RYLA Chair Derek Foote by June 1st.

Q: What is the tuition cost for the program and when is the application due?

A: Applications are due to the RYLA committee no later than May 31st in order to be considered. Because of the limited space, participants will be accepted in the order received. A tuition payment of $650 will need to be included with the application in order to be accepted.

Q: What does the program tuition pay for?

A: The majority of the tuition pays for rooms and meals for the week at Menucha Retreat Center. The entire RYLA staff including all of the speakers are volunteers and donate their time to the program.

Q: Who do we make checks out to?

A: All checks are made out to Rotary District 5100. If there is space, also include a note that the check is for RYLA 2017.

Q: How do I find participants to sponsor?

A: This is a common question by Rotarians. We encourage them to reach out to young professionals at their jobs, in their community organizations, and even within Rotary. Each year, a number of participants are Rotarians and Rotaractors.
